Choosing the right care for your child can be hard and you may have many questions. Below you will find answer to some commonly asked questions from parents seeking quality child care for their children.

How will I know what is happening during my child’s day?

You will be provided with daily communication from your child’s teacher. A daily schedule is posted in each classroom. Also, parents are emailed weekly regarding special events, letter of the week, number of the week, themes, etc. If there is additional information that you would like provided, do not hesitate to request this from your child’s teacher.

May I visit my child during the day?

Absolutely! We encourage you to be a part of your child’s educational progress by coming in from time to time to see what they do. We have an open door policy and you may drop in any time.

How flexible are the Country Kids programs?

Whether you need full time or part time programs, we can fit your needs. We also offer hourly rates if you only need our services from time to time, depending on your schedule.

How will I know that my child is safe while I am at work?

We have a secured front entrance which is only accessible if you have been issued a key fob. All other entrances are kept locked. Anyone without a key fob must be manually admitted by a member of our staff. Any person not recognized by staff as an employee or an authorized pick up will be asked for identification.

Do children go outside every day?

Usually. Spending time outside is vitally important for a healthy body. . We have a big playground, basketball court, age appropriate swings and climbers, a water play area, a barnyard theme play area and a garden as well. In extreme conditions, based on heat index and wind-chill factor, we will not go outside or that time will be limited and done so with caution. The Kansas Department of Health requires daily outside play, but does give us guidelines for determining when we should not go outside or when we should do so, but with caution.

What security measures are taken when releasing children?

If an alternate adult must pick up your child, we must be notified in advance. That person must present their drivers license before we allow them to take your child.

How will I know if my child is developing at an appropriate rate?

A developmental checklist will be completed for your child each quarter. Additionally, each preschool student will have a portfolio with dated work so that you can see their individual progress. You may request a one on one meeting with your child’s teacher at any time to discuss progress.

What qualifications do your staff have?

Our staff meets education and/or experience requirements established by the Kansas Department of Health, based on the age of and the number of children in the classroom.

What will my child eat while at Country Kids?

We provide nutritious snacks in the morning and the afternoon which include two items from different food groups. A hot lunch is provided each day. Each meal is nutritionally sound and includes milk, meat or meat alternative, two servings of fruit and/or vegetables and a bread product.

What does tuition cost to attend your center?

We don’t post rates on our website because they vary so much from family to family, based off things such as the number of children enrolled, children’s ages and their desired schedule, etc. We will gladly give rates to interested families if they give us a call or submit a web inquiry.
